Less than 7 millimetres for fully integrated Speed Controller

FAULHABER brings integrated Speed Controller for flat motors to market

The motor family BXT, consisting of brushless DC servomotors with a particularly short design, has been expanded in all sizes by a diameter-compliant integrated speed controller. With an additional mounting length of just 6.2 mm, the motor / speed controller combinations are available in the same installation space as the products with the integrated encoder IEF3-4096 (L).

The speed controller is also fully integrated in the robust motor housing through the use of synergy effects with the encoder variants. Based on the proven FAULHABER SC technology, the motors can be started up quickly, easily and conveniently using the well-known Motion Manager (from version 6.6) . The speed controller is connected to the application with a six-pin ribbon cable, matching connectors are optionally available.

The Speed Controller can be combined with the housed BXT motors 2214… BXT H, 3216… BXT H and 4221… BXT H. Despite being fully integrated, the robust speed controller guarantees the use of the almost complete power and speed range of the corresponding base motors. A well thought-out cooling concept minimizes thermal losses.

The combination of the BXT H motors with the integrated speed controller is the ideal solution when speeds have to be precisely regulated in a confined space and high torques are required at the same time. Typical applications are pumps, hand-held devices (e.g. for the tattoo industry), device construction, laboratory and industrial automation.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Compact design through complete integration
  • High torque up to 92 mNm, continuous output up to 60W
  • Stable and precise speed control from 200 - 10,000 min-1 mechanically
  • Second shaft end optionally available in sizes 32 and 42 mm
