TPMD is accredited and GMP certified for the determination of bacterial endotoxin (BET) and non endotoxin pyrogens (NEPs). In addition to the classical Limulus Amoebocyte Test (LAL), we offer an in-house developed and accredited platform for the combinatorial determination of BET and NEPs based on the reactivity of monocytes in human whole blood. As a member of the MAT Task Force of the Paul Ehrlich Institute we are working on further developments of the MAT, in particular the determination of non-endotoxin pyrogens and the material-related pyrogenicity of medical devices and drugs in internal development projects. Our test platform for pyrogens is subject to continuous quality control through annual proficiency tests.
