Trading and sales by medical technology companies is a key driver of medical progress. The further development as well as the trade and distribution of medical technology is the result of a large number of continuous product and process improvements. Germany has so far been very successful on the world market. More than a third of the companies are hoping for funding programs for SMEs to implement the MDR. In order to support medium-sized medical technology companies in particular, BVMed therefore called for a clear funding program for SMEs and MDRs. In addition, BVMed stands for the industry´s commitment to strengthening Germany as a production and research location by treating the medium-sized medical device industry as a lead market and a strong economic factor.
