A completely "normal" life - also for diabetics. This is not a pipe dream, but reality. Unlike a few years ago, diabetics can now measure their blood sugar levels themselves and adjust their treatment accordingly. That makes them independent.

With the ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus, there is now a completely newly designed blood glucose meter. Particular attention was paid to easy handling and optimum safety. Only one button on the device needs to be operated for the measurement. The test strips are in a drum with 17 strips and, unlike in the past, no longer need to be picked up individually. The test strip is positioned at the push of a button and ejected after the measurement – also at the push of a button. The drum rotates one position further. The device is ready for the next measurement. With this device, blood sugar determination is made much easier and can be carried out anytime and anywhere. When the strips are used up, the drum can be replaced in two simple steps.

For this automatic process of reliably providing and processing the test strips, FAULHABER developed a highly integrated drive system in close cooperation with the customer. The challenge was the complexity of the mechatronic, battery-powered drive unit. Since the device was not allowed to be larger than a mobile phone, only minimal installation space was available. After the development, the complete drive is now also produced by the FAULHABER Group.
