Close to the customer – worldwide
It all began inside a garage in Tuttlingen, Germany, in 1921. Today, Henke-Sass, Wolf is one of the leading firms in medical technology. With our own production facilities in our most important markets, we manufacture a select range of the highest-quality instruments for special sectors of medical technology and for numerous industry sectors. Around 1,500 specialized employees worldwide and an export quota of over 80% reflect the international commitment and global presence of our company.
Inventing, developing and improving
The passion for developing technological solutions in the sectors of medical technology and industrial products – or, briefly put, engineering ingenuity – represents the essence of Henke-Sass, Wolf. Ever since it was founded in 1921, the company has been deeply and intensively involved in research, development and design for reliable solutions in these sectors.
The calibrated glass metal cylindrical syringe was invented by us, for instance, and the disposable syringe was radically simplified. For decades now we have been an OEM manufacturer for the medical endoscopy sector. As a producer and specialist in micro-optics, we significantly improved the optics on rigid endoscopes and developed autoclavable endoscopes. And with Wenkert we have acquired a company that enhances our product portfolio in the medical endoscopy sector with optimal instruments.
Innovative, useful and consequently future proof technological solutions have turned Henke-Sass, Wolf into an internationally successful company. We continue to place our trust in engineering ingenuity for the future as well, and invest significantly in research, development and design.

Engineering ingenuity means knowing how to do things. Engineering ingenuity from Henke-Sass, Wolf also means knowing how to mass produce things reliably. This is why Henke-Sass, Wolf has a high degree of vertical integration in all its product sectors. In all our areas of activity, we rely on highly-qualified employees. To produce our mechanical high-precision components we use state-of-the-art technology, automated systems and robots. The highly precise micro-optical components which we manufacture in-house are an important quality feature of our medical endoscopes. And of course we achieve synergy effects at our international locations. With this interplay of know-how, vertical integration and global presence, we achieve the highest quality while remaining economically competitive.

Service quality is product quality
It’s only when the service is good that everything is good. This is why we place project teams with specialists at our customers' disposal when new solutions are being developed. The specialists ensure that individual requirements can be rapidly realized. Our partners can rely on us for everything – from labeling to marketing support with materials and documentation. And our own Service Centers in Europe, the USA and China ensure that maintenance or repair jobs can be carried out quickly and safely. The high availability of original spare parts gives our customers additional application security.
